You confirm that your auto insurance covers towing a utility trailer. SoMo Trailer Rentals does not provide liability insurance for the tow vehicle.
Both trailers use a 2" ball. The 4 × 8 is about 2,000 lb GVWR; the 6 × 12 is 3,500 lb GVWR. Confirm your vehicle tow rating, lighting plug, and that the ball matches the coupler before you book.
Photograph the trailer at pickup and return. We place a $100 security/damage authorization hold — not a charge. If no damage is reported, the hold is released automatically 3 days after a recorded return. We can capture the hold and charge the card on file for amounts above $100.
Contactless pickup in Theodore, AL during 6:00 AM – 12:00 AM (midnight). Many renters drive over from Mobile. The exact address and directions are sent after booking. After payment you get a lockbox code on your booking confirmation page and in your confirmation email, plus a map and hookup tips. Enter the code on the combination lock to open the box and take the key. The public pickup page does not show the lockbox code. Call or text 251-272-9722 or email somotrailerrentals@gmail.com.

Rain does not cancel a rental. If we block the trailer for safety or maintenance, we refund the rental charge and release the hold.
Cancel 24 hours or more before your start time and we refund the rental charge in full and release the $100 hold. Cancel with less than 24 hours notice and we keep 50% of the rental as a cancellation fee (the hold is still released).
If you do not pick up the trailer and do not cancel, the full rental charge is kept. The $100 hold is released unless damage or a dispute is on file.
There is a 30-minute grace period after your return time. After that, late returns are $20 per hour or fraction of an hour, charged to the card on file, and capped at $40 per day overdue.
You must be 21 or older on the pickup date. We require a photo of your valid driver's license.
We currently collect 5.50% (AL + Mobile County sales tax) on the rental subtotal. Theodore is unincorporated Mobile County.
Seven to 29 days are 10% off that trailer's daily rate before tax. Thirty or more days are 15% off. A 4 × 8 week is $189 and a 6 × 12 week is $252. Thirty days is $765 on the 4 × 8 and $1,020 on the 6 × 12. The savings line is shown in the price summary.
